This Sonata was inspired by me during a visit to one of the most evocative and fascinating places in Sicily: the wonderful Basilica of Monreale. Its majesty, imbued with richness, spirituality and history, gave rise in my soul to a whirlwind of emotions and sensations, which I wanted to transcribe into music. The harmonies that I have created express the perfect and surreal pigeonhole that the pieces of the mosaics have carved in my mind and in my heart.
